Could The Honda CB350 Come To America Any Time Soon?

May. 9 2022 Review By Simon Hancocks

WE may not be able to get our American hands on the GB350 (also known as the Honda High’Ness) just yet, but that can’t stop us from drooling over this Moriwaki GB350 S “Tetsuba” custom race bike while we wait!

Created by the legendary Japanese tuning company with a view to competing in the Tesuuma race held in May this year, the bike uses over-the-counter bolt-on parts and custom fabrication to turn the retro roadster into a track-ready racer.

Finished in a traditional Moriwaki blue and yellow paint scheme, one of the biggest technical changes to the bike is the switch from a 19-inch to a 17-inch front wheel for added on-track poise. The move should not only improve the handling of the diminutive machine but also opens up a treasure trove of super-sticky rubber that the team can install for the upcoming race.

A new custom exhaust system is also fitted to the GB350, something that Young Machine tips as being available to customers in the months to come. Internally, the Honda engine remains stock and standard to comply with the regulations of the event, meaning it produces around 20bhp and 30Nm of torque. So, let’s just call it accessible then, shall we?

To fans of the GB350, the most exciting part of this bike though is not the exhaust, engine, or wheel size. It’s the styling. With its short, single-seat unit, dropped café racer bars and full-length belly pan, most owners will just be wanting to know when they can order their own bolt-on kit to replicate the look and style of the new bike. Well, with Moriwaki being one of Japan’s most revered two-wheeled tuning shops, we wouldn’t bet against a full ‘GB350 S’ kit landing on its online shop very soon!
