Women Riders On the Rise

The percentage of women riding motorcycles is on the rise, currently at 20% of all riders.

A decade ago, only half of today's female riders had taken up motorcycling. Right now a lot of them are learning the basics of riding, picking proper protective gear, and so on. Still, though, it's more than just a flashy trend or a passing fad, and we say bring them on!

With the addition of our newest V1 MOTO team member, Madeline Hogan, and Houston Desmo Owners Club President, Sara Dean Cole, we hope to lead the charge in growing that community here in Houston.

Madeline Hogan is an experienced motocross rider who's currently competing in the Loretta Lynn National Championship. Madeline believes in dreaming big, and aspiring to be the person who helps other women/girls realize they are limitless and that girls can go fast too. Sara Dean Cole is an experienced trackday rider who loves Ducati, and was even asked to be a part of the Ducati Monster launch in San Francisco. She is also the President of Ducati's official owners club for Houston, one of the largest official owner's clubs in the world. One of the coolest women we know, but one of the kindest towards new riders as well.

With Madeline and Sara leading the charge for us, it is our hope that V1 becomes a hub for all women riders in Houston.
