Carlos and Luis: DRE Track Masters

On a recent trip out to World Ducati Week, Carlos and Luis had time to take advantage of Ducati's famed DRE (Ducati Riding Experience) schools. 

I spoke with Luis about what it was like. "Epic, of course." He went on to say, "the whole DRE experience was amazing. Ducati really goes above and beyond for their customers. It was a very personal experience because they had an experienced instructor for every 3 riders. And we were fortunate to have our longtime friend Juan Munoz with us in our group. Carlos, Juan, and I had probably the best instructor there, Franco Battaini - a former MotoGP rider."

"We did the DRE 'Track Master' package, which put us on the latest spec Panigale V4S," Luis said. "I mean, we were In Mugello, Italy, we were on Ducatis - it just made you feel spcial. And the track was butter smooth." When asked what his favorite part of the track was, he said "Casanova and Savelli, a sweeping right hander then left hander which you take at high speed. That was amazing."

I asked Luis if he learned anything, to which he said, "Our instructor was able to ascertain where each rider was, and ride at a pace that helped them imporove each time out." "Carlos, well, he's already really fast. Franco remembered Carlos from when he came to do the MotoGP Experience a while back. So when Carlos was leading the group, he and Franco just took off and I couldn't keep up, hahaha."
