Part motorcycle, part rolling artwork—built to ride, built to be seen.

MV Agusta is back in the spotlight, this time with the Dragster RR SCS—an exotic middleweight naked that blends outrageous style with clever tech. Backed by Pierer Mobility Group’s investment, MV finally seems poised to balance artistry with performance.

Smart clutch, wild triple, and styling that makes rivals look tame.

The Dragster’s 798cc triple pumps out 140 hp (148 with the Akrapovič option) and weighs a claimed 385 pounds dry. A six-axis IMU governs traction, wheelie control, and four riding modes, while MV’s EAS 3.0 quickshifter keeps the gearbox lively. The real party trick, though, is the Smart Clutch System (SCS)—a Rekluse-based auto-clutch that lets you take off or stop without touching the lever, though it’s still there if you want full manual control

On the road, the engine dominates. It’s peaky and happiest in the upper revs, with enough torque for the street but the soul of a supersport. The clutch system is surprisingly intuitive, though a little abrupt at very low rpm. Once moving, the Dragster thrives on fast, flowing roads rather than traffic snarls.

The attention to detail in the design is exceptional.

The chassis is sharp but not flawless. Fully adjustable Marzocchi forks and a Sachs shock deliver precision, though the ride can feel harsh over rough pavement. Brembo M4.32 brakes are competent but dated, and it’s disappointing that electronic suspension isn’t included at this price point.

None of that overshadows the design. From the slash-cut triple exhaust to the carbon accents, sculpted tank, and one of the sexiest taillights in motorcycling, the Dragster RR SCS looks like rolling artwork. MV even nailed the little touches: foldable passenger pegs, exposed clutch cover, and details that ooze Italian flair.

Only MV could fit a carbon wheel cover and make it look this good.

Is it perfect? No. But perfection isn’t the point. The MV Agusta Dragster RR SCS is about exclusivity, style, and a riding experience that feels raw, exotic, and unlike anything else in its class. If you want the best mix of performance and polish, buy a Street Triple. If you want to turn heads every time you ride—and own a machine that’s as much art as motorcycle—the Dragster RR SCS is in a class of one.
